In September 2008 Andrey and I undertook the project to build Hostel Tinktinkie.
It was a huge project but a dream that came true. We both love travelling and wanted
to do something that involves tourism in Argentina. What a better way than opening
a hostel!
We did not want to build a hostel in the big cities. People get tired of the stress
and noise in the cities and want to relax for a couple of days in nature. We wanted
land close to mountains and a river. Santa Rosa de Calamuchita is ideal because we
are in the valley and surrounded by mountains. The hostel is 300m from the river!
The building project was completed during 2009. We officially opened in October 2009
in time for the annual Oktoberfest in Villa General Belgrano!
We are 80kms from Cordoba city and en-route to Mendoza, Rio Cuarto, Alta Gracia and
Buenos Aires. We are not a big city hostel and we like to include guests in our daily
activities. Andrey loves to cook for our guests!
Our rooms are new, modern, spacious and have a magnificent view of the mountains.
At night the sky is crystal clear and you can almost pick the stars from the heavens.
